Turning ideas into digital magic

Type 66

I created a fictional car magazine around the Type 66 Avenger, taking the vehicle from a rough 3D-print base to a set of studio renders and finished editorial pages. The project joined visual research, modeling, materials, lighting and typography into one production.

Building for the image

The downloaded model provided a starting point for proportions. I cleaned and rebuilt it into more than 200 organized parts, then developed materials for the paint, metal, glass and other surfaces. Camera position and studio lighting became part of the design, not just the last step before export.

I produced ten renders and carried them into Photoshop for compositing and page layout. The magazine's contrast, grain, graphic texture and typography were designed around those images. I wanted the pages to feel like a publication from the same fictional world as the car.

Research, the production process and a critical reflection formed the accompanying coursework. The project is inspired by Cyberpunk 2077 and is not affiliated with its creators. My work is the model rebuild, material and lighting treatment, renders, compositing and magazine design.
